A poem from me to you

Tighter than any stitching holding together your shirt

More permanent than any ink that sits on my arm

Stronger than any weight lifting champion

In comparison that champion looks weak like me

In comparison everything is weak like me

I’m not sure a metaphor can capture the picture that I see

I haven’t heard a story that has kept me smiling and as free

Even though it feels like fiction, I am swimming in your revelation

I don’t think I will ever again be weak like me

Not as long as we are together will I be weak like me

My bones may break and body may fall

What we have will keep me going and I’ll wait for your call

As I turn from feeble to simply invincible
