So I am on Vacation. A WHOLE week not sitting at work and wasting away. I am spending most of it in South Jersey with some planned trips and expeditions. It could not have come at a better time.

What am I doing with all this time off? Well, I am trying something called the Master Cleanse and also working in the studio to get all my songs I have written with my buddy Johnny recorded. We have one song done, our first ever written. Three years ago I think we wrote it. It ain’t half bad. I’m not journaling don’t worry, just giving updates.

So this Master Cleanse is meant to cleanse my body of everything bad. ALL them toxins are getting kicked out. Sure I am hungry but I feel good and am thinking clearly.

Thinking so clear. I am reflecting a lot. That is what this post is about. The importance of reflecting on your own life. What you have gone through, where your ambitions are, what you are doing to meet goals, what you like, what you dislike and so on.

Think back on anything and everything. There is nothing wrong with taking time out to just sit and ponder. I encourage you to even look back at the pain. The dark places where you do not wish to go. Those areas where you have found closure. Think, pray, grow.

You need to do this all in the maturest way possible. You cannot become consumed. There is a healthy way to reflect and then there is everything else. Be prayerful. Be grateful. Look for hope. Look for change.

As I said earlier reflecting isn’t just thinking about your past it is looking at yourself as a whole. Where are you going next. Why? How? and When? Most of the time I don’t have any of these answers but that is ok too.

It is important. Take the time. Take a day, a week, a few hours to just be with yourself and God.  You won’t regret it. It is healthy, it is encouraging, it can be enlightening.
