This is a poem I wrote a few years back for a class. It is technically an English Sonnet:

Indifference is a virtue

An easy accomplishment

Not caring, you can do it too

Who says you need to vent?

Apathy, such a glorious trait

Ignoring and separating

Emotions are just bait

You say I am just irritating

I say I honestly don’t care

It has nothing to do with me being intimidated

I just like to be fair

Removing my feelings makes things much less complicated

You respond that I obviously am sympathetic

Towards anyone who proclaims to be apathetic
